Nashville's a wonderful city. It's pretty clean and the people are friendly. You can almost normally find a job in what particularly interests you. If you want to be a songwriter/producer, I would suggest Memphis, TN, though. Nashville may be the home of Country Music, but not many hopefuls come from there. Memphis is a better place if you want to be a songwriter- they're more open to it. The reason not many hopefuls come from Nashville is because there are already several country music stars that moved to Nashville (Keith Urban, Kellie Pickler, Tim McGraw, etc) so they want more proffessionals working in Nashville. Memphis, though, has open arms.

Nashville is cool but i want to put Memphis on your mind moved here from South Carolina and loving it

About Is it possible to work in a research lab as a high school student
Is it possible to work in a research lab as a high school student?
I currently am shadowing a graduate student at a research lab, but I am annoyed that my schedule relies completely on his. I would prefer to work at a lab and get paid for it. However, it being almost july, I'm not sure if it's too late to find a position, and whether a position is even possible. I live around the University of Rochester. Thank you!

Great location. You didn't mention what type of research. I suggest that you go to your local work force office ( state employment office) and to the employment office of the local university to see if there are any openings. Do not be surprised if you will only be able to menial jobs as your age and experience will limit what you would be allowed to do. Please understand that most research labs have very stringent protocols to protect their results and funding. They cannot afford to let an untried, although enthusiastic, minor do much direct research. Also, they might accept some volunteer help, but paid positions are few and far between. On the other hand, look around town for an apprenticeship or volunteer program. Check out the veterinary clinics, humane society, hospital etc. Again, do not expect to be able to do any unsupervised work. There could be big liability issues. If you are interested in research, can you do some on your own? A few inventions and breakthroughs have started out in someone's garage or basement. What are you interested in researching? Maybe you can do some of your own experiemnts and learn from experience.

About What IMPORTANT people are buried at Rochester Cathedral
What IMPORTANT people are buried at Rochester Cathedral?
Well, that is one of my questions. What important people are buried at Rochester Cathedral? Secondly, I would like to know if anyone knows why it was built in the first place? Thank you. PS. This work is for a school project and these are the only things that I can't find anywhere, so if anyone has any links, that would be apprieciated too. :) I'm sorry about being rude to the people. That is just what the question on my sheet says.

The local market should be a major consideration at this time since so much of the northeast real estate market is in a major correction right now. I would hesitate buying something at "full price" in a market that has more than eight months of supply listed for sale. If you can find a decent bargain, your plan to stay with Mom in the city while having your permanent home upstate may not be a bad idea. Remember that if you're not there, though, there might not be anybody else to a) keep an eye on things, b) be available in a real emergency (you're five hours away!), and c) do the maintenance that will end up eating all your "free time" when you are actually back home. Some people end up hating the commute after just three months when it is only two or three hours - - and you're talking five. I would consider only doing it with a roommate or co-owner to lighten the load.

if you don't intend to live in the house on work days.

Not really practical BUT on a 3 on and 4 off, it might be doable.. IF: You can handle living with mom for 3 days a week and Don't mind leaving your house for that long. (GET AN ALARM that is monitored as you will be a high risk target for break in.) Don't have plants or pets The cost of the house an all required insurance etc plus the gas to commute is less than the rent and the house has a reasonable potential to gain equity or you are getting really good deal on it so you can afford to hold it for a year plus and then roll it for more money to get a house closer. This will be a locked commitment for at least 6 months but more likely a year.. If the housing market does not rebound you could be locked in longer than that... If there is any chance you could change hours, aka your boss or function changes don't do it.. If there is a chance that you can go more virtual, then it is a better risk.

Well gas is three dollars a gallon and youre talking about driving an extra 700 miles a week. if your gets 30 miles a gallon, that over $115 dollars a week. Is the job paying that much more money? If you can afford that, you should be able to afford the more expensive housing close by.
